Let me introduce myself. My name is Marjolijn Pijl, I am from the Netherlands.
When I was 20 I started to work for an an agency that sources out labour wherever it was needed. This was ideal for me, because at an early age I decided that life was too short to waste it with work work work and little fun. With the money I made through this agency I could take 1/3 of the year off to do whatever I wanted.
After about 10 years those agencies changed and tried to get me into a steady job from 9 to 5.
So I looked around for myself and started to work half days for an auction company. After 3 years I got offered a job at a snookercentre for 25 hours a week. Did that for 14 years, had a lot of freedom.
Then I was stupid enough to fall from my bycicle onto a steal plate. This busted my left arm and hand and my brain wasn't working as it had before, there was a screw loose in my short memory, so I couldn't work anymore.
Although I could get by on the social security cheque I got, I started looking around on the internet if there was something there I could do to make a bit more money. The first 10 years were very hard, a lot of scams, a lot of things you needed your full memory for, but through one of the businesses I got to know a few people who made it their business to help others make money online, so I joined them in their businesses. Now I am finally starting to make some money, things are looking up again. And I can choose my own worktimes.
For those of you who think that working online is much easier then having a regular job, you are mistaken. Why? When you start working online you start your own business, you can hold nobody responsable when the work doesn't get done but yourself.
So if you are thinking about working online, know that it ain't as easy as some people want you to believe. It is as hard, maybe even harder, then an offline job, because it is your own business. You are never done. But it is getting better and you will get more free time as soon as the business(es) you work start to pay off. This is not something that will happen overnight mind you, it takes time, learning, making mistakes, starting over, most of the time some money and a lot of perseverance.
Still want to work online? Then take a look at what I am doing, maybe you'll find something of your liking.
